 Product description
(in detail)

Role of Potash

o Indian soils contain high Potash but Potash in soil is in unavailable form and cannot be taken by the plants. That necessitates the need to give Potash fertilizers to the Crops. In fact, the qualitative yield of the crop depends on availability of Potash. Likewise the recovery of sugar depends on availability of Potash. Potash possesses disease and pest Resistance Power and plays a vital role in Nitrogen metabolism.

Potash Fertilizers

o MOP is the main Potash  Fertilizers  and is most commonly used
o Being larger in size its availability to the plant is not in expected proportion.
o Heavy leaching losses
o K + discharged is fixed as Chloride in the soil
o Only 7 to 20 % Potash is available to  crop if not used with sufficient quantity of FYM
o Need to use FYM along with MOP

VRUNDAVAN KROM

o Organic Potash Fertilizer developed by Raghavendra Fertilizers Pvt. Ltd.
o Composed base: Organic carbon 10 %
o Potassium as K2O: More than 10 %
o Almost all Potash in available form
o Potassium Humate: More than 18 %

o Other Ingredients
              Sulphur:                     4 %
              Calcium:                     6 %
              Magnesium:                2 %

o Micronutrients: In traces
o Potash is 2 K + Ions
o K + ions reacts with Organic Acid  provided along with it to form Humate
o K2O is derived as 2 K + ions with  Oxygen and Molecular weight is: 78
o Molecular weight of Potassium Humate (C9H8K2O4) is 258
o Available Potash as Potassium Humate is 3 times more than K2O.This helps in the linear movement of (k +) potash to move freely  in the soil
o The (-)negative ion exchange in the soil does not trap the (+) charged ion.
o This synthesis of free flowing neutral medium acts to our advantage in making available K without being fixed
o Helping K mobility in the soil (-) negative ion in the soil and root exchange captures the (+) charged K making it immobile and fixed.
o Hampers the free flowing k + in the soil towards the roots.

Importance of Potassium Humate

o Organic Potash developed by Raghavendra Fertilizers contains more than 15 % Potassium Humate.
After carrying out many years of experiments the soil science experts concluded that combined use of manure (20 ton/hectare) and mineral fertilizers (N P K) was conducive to sustaining humus balance in the soil.  However, the cost of applying manure in such large quantities decreases the profitability of the process.  Research shows that an exchange of 20 tons of manure for 50 kg of Potassium Humate is more profitable and leads to more productivity.

Comprehensive proof can be obtained through many years of experiments. Scientific studies in many countries showed that Potassium Humate stimulated the development of all soil micro-organisms, such as fungi, bacteria, and ray fungi (actinomycetes).  They increased soil’s aeration and were conducive to stimulation of oxidation activity of microbes. In other words, Potassium Humate stimulate micro-organisms and therefore are conducive to humus restoration.

Potassium Humate is considered as an organic fertilizer. It contains 5% nitrogen, 2.8% phosphorus, 10% potassium and some micronutrients including molybdenum, copper, zinc, cobalt and magnesium. Potassium Humate increases product quality and plant tolerance to drought stress, salinity, heat, cold, disease and pests.

Comparison with M.O.P.

o One bag of M.O.P. can be replaced by  one bag of Organic Potash
o Better result than MOP
o No need to give Secondary
(Sulphur, Calcium & Magnesium)
o Available in 50 kg bag
o Lot of cost saving for Farmer
